To spread awareness and promote cashless transaction, Government of India organized Digidhan Mela in 100 cities across the country starting from December 2016. In Mizoram, Two-Days Digidhan Mela was held on the 14th and 15th February 2017 at Millenium Center Rooftop.

A function to mark the Culmination of Digidhan Mela in 100th cities was held on the 2nd May 2017 at I&PR Auditorium, Aizawl. It was attended by representatives from Banks, Merchants, NGO’s and Political Parties. The function was chaired by Er. R. Lalfanliana, Secretary to the Government of Mizoram, ICT Department. Chief Secretary, Pu Lalmalsawma was the Chief Guest. Speech were delivered by Pu Jeffrey L. Fanai, General Secretary, Mizoram Merchants Association and Pu Ralkhuma, Lead Bank Manager. Technical Report was given by Pu Zothanzauva, Informatics Officer, ICT Department. The function ended with Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Lalthlamuana, Chief Informatics Officer, ICT Department.

The function was chaired by Er. R. Lalfanliana, Secretary to the Government of Mizoram, ICT Department.
